BURLESQUE
WORKSHOPS
The Pink Kitten Dance School holds workshops in a wonderful variety
of exotic dance forms. They are a great way to get a little X factor
or steam things up in the bedroom, not to mention just really good fun
to take part in. These workshops are ideal if you want do learn some
sexy moves but think our pole dancing classes might be a little too
athletic for you. Or if you are already taking pole classes they can
really compliment and enhance your dancing.
These workshops are designed to be suitable
for everyone from absolute beginners with no experience or coordination
what so ever, to those who are more experienced. All you need to take
part is a willingness to have fun. None of the moves in the workshops
are particularly difficult so anyone can pick them up, but what is really
great about them though, is that you learn to move sexily and to do
it with confidence.
For what you should bring and wear please see the Before
You Start section. Some workshops involve an element of striptease,
but don't worry, there will be no nudity, you just put on extra layers
to learn techniques for taking them off.
What is Burlesque?
Burlesque is a time honoured art form, a sexually expressive
form of entertainment that has its roots far back in British theatre.
Burlesque is striptease with the emphasis on the tease. A classy, sexy
theatrical performance done with a tongue in cheek humour and a twinkle
in the eye. Burlesque is normally done playing homage to its historical
roots. Think vintage glamour; feathers, corsets, seamed stockings and
nipple tassels.
Burlesque Showgirls Workshop
Discover your inner showgirl in this short workshop which gives
an all round introduction to burlesque moves and theory. Have dance,
half performance, you don't need to have experience in either to take
part. You will learn a beautiful routine complete with feather boa,
and some tips for removing clothes.
Burlesque Intensive Workshop
This workshop is a very intensive day of training and great
for anyone who wants an all round introduction into the world of burlesque
performance. We can't fit everything covered in this space so please
contact us for full details, but to give you and idea of what
is included: Burlesque core movements such as wiggles, shimmy's, sexy
struts, elegant gestures and pin up poses. Also covered will be striptease
technique, tassel twirling, stage craft and performance, costuming and
the history of burlesque. No experience is necessary but there will
be an element of nudity in this workshop when we do nipple tassel twirling.
Burlesque For Men (Transvestites)
We have had quite a few requests for male burlesque
workshops and we feel that burlesque is a wonderful way to learn female
charms, so there is a special workshop in the pipeline. If you are interested
in this please contact us to let us know.
Seduction Dance Workshop
The seduction dance workshop is a great fusion of sexy moves
old and new. It is a steamy combination of modern exotic dance and classic
burlesque. You will also learn how to take off some clothing very sexily
(don't worry no nudity at all, just extra layers on top). This is then
all put together into a scorching dance routine.
Lap Dance Workshop
A lap dance is probably the most steamy, sexy way to do a performance
for some one if you want to raise the temperature. Learn some raunchy
sexy moves and tips on how to pull off this dance that is all woman.
Chair Work Workshop
In this workshop you will learn a variety of sexy dance moves
which are then all put together into a dance using a chair as a prop,
think Liza Minelli in Cabaret. Not only does this look really sexy,
a lot of the moves we do are amazing for toning you abs, so even more
reason to practice this at home too. You will also get tips on performing
your routine, a great way to perform a dance for some one special, and
there's no excuses as everyone has chairs at home.
