You will learn how to make beautiful shapes on on the trapeze and hoop; the best ways of climbing and holding awesome positions on the rope and silks. There are different skills for all levels so no matter how many lessons you've been to before, there will always be something new to work on! We will have several bays open at once so you can choose your favourites or have a go at everything!
Complete beginners are welcome, although you may want to try one of our shorter circus taster workshops or week night courses to pique your curiosity.
The amazing Lisa Truscot (http://www.aerialartiste.com) will be your guide for the morning. Lisa is a seasoned professional performer with many years of experience teaching children and adults to do amazing things in the air. She currently performs on aerial silks , doubles trapeze, aerial hoop and has an amazing new doubles roller skating act with her performance partner.
What to wear?
Close fitting clothes are ideal so you dont get caught up when you go upside down. You dont want your t-Shirt over your head!
If you have them; Leggings , a Leotard and T-shirt are perfect. If not, make sure you have long t shirt ( no midriff!) and maybe some long sleeves
The Albany Centre is a converted church building, a wonderful open space with lots of equipment to work with! When looking for the Albany, the building is situated next to a playground, and entrance is through the blue door to the side of the building. The door will be locked 5 minutes after the start time for security purposes , please ring the door bell for access after that time.
